My work deals with human experiences and time, from a subjective point of view. I focus on what is asking for my attention from day to day, and take it from there. Structure and rituals are vital for my overall wellbeing and a natural part of the framework from which I work.
Within this everyday framework and in my studio practice, I work with the sound of my voice. I draw, write, field-record and sculpt. I primarily use simple means and readily available materials recycled from the immediate surroundings, such as accumulated paper. Above all, I'm concerned with responding to the current situation, the what just is, whatever that is. Since 2017 I have worked closely with the drawn character 'Silje' and her two-dimensional world.

A series of drawings recording my subjective experience of daily life. The drawings are made over time, as months go by and life is lived. Each series covers the span of a year. The drawings depart from photos I have taken with my smartphone camera in moments where I (for various reasons) are made aware of time.
